Who we are
This website is operated by The Bed Linen Company Europe, part of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd. We sell bed linen, sheets, pillowcases, mattress toppers and blankets to customers across Europe.
You can contact us about anything on this page at theteam@bedlinen.store.
What we collect, and why
We only collect what we need to sell you bedding and get it to your door.
When you place an order. Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and order contents. We need this to take payment, pick your order, ship it and deal with returns. The lawful basis is performance of a contract with you.
When you pay. Card and payment details are entered on our payment providers' own systems, not ours. We never see or store your full card number.
When you contact us. Whatever you put in the contact form or your email: usually your name, email address and your question. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.
When you browse. With your consent, Google Analytics records anonymised usage data so we can see which pages are useful. Analytics does not load until you accept it in the cookie banner. The lawful basis is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
We do not run blog comments, user accounts or file uploads on this site, so we collect nothing through those routes.
Who we share it with
Only the suppliers who make the shop work, and only with what they need:
- Stripe and PayPal, to take payment.
- Resend, to send your order confirmation and delivery updates.
- Supabase, where the order record is stored so we can fulfil and support it.
- Google Analytics, for anonymised usage statistics, only if you consent.
- Our delivery partners, so they can bring your parcel to you.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where your data goes
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is generally seven years. Contact-form messages are kept while we deal with your question and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics data is retained on Google's standard schedule.
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify it if it is wrong or incomplete.
- Erase it, where we have no overriding legal reason to keep it.
- Restrict or object to how we process it.
- Portability, meaning a copy in a common machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on.
Email theteam@bedlinen.store to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work. You are not required to raise it with us first, though we would rather have the chance to put it right.
